Kochi: Nayanthara has joined the cast of the upcoming highly anticipated Malayalam film directed by Mahesh Narayanan, which reunites Mammootty and Mohanlal on screen. This marks the first collaboration between Mammootty and Nayanthara in nine years, their last being the 2016 release Puthiya Niyamam.

The film, touted as the most expensive Malayalam project to date, is currently in its fifth shooting schedule in Kochi. The team recently completed a crucial sequence featuring actress Revathi. Apart from Mammootty and Mohanlal, the film boasts an ensemble cast, including Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban. The last time they appeared together as co-leads was in the 2008 blockbuster Twenty:20. Mohanlal made a cameo in Mammootty's film Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty eleven years ago.

The film has already completed two schedules in Sri Lanka, along with schedules in the UAE and Azerbaijan. Following the ongoing Kochi schedule, the next leg of filming will take place in Delhi, where key scenes featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Revathi will be shot.
