Actress Nikhila Vimal's interviews often go viral on social media, where her candid answers to questions are widely celebrated. Due to her fearless responses, she has earned the nickname ‘thug raani’ (queen of comebacks). However, some users poke fun at her remarks, leading to the making of troll posters and videos.
In response to this, actor Naslen has come to Nikhila's defence. In a recent interview on a YouTube channel, Naslen stated that Nikhila's outspoken nature is not a new trend; it's part of her character from childhood.
"Nikhila does not intend to create the ‘thug effect’ when she speaks. I know Nikhila and her mother, and I am familiar with her family. Nikhila’s mother has told me that she has been like this since she was young. That character cannot be changed. Nikhila is simply that kind of person. She never intends to hurt anyone through her words. What is being aimed at her, she aims it back. She speaks her mind openly without hiding anything. I believe that is a good quality."
Naslen was speaking during the promotion of I Am Kathalan, directed by Girish A. D., which is set to hit theatres on November 7. So far, Naslen and Nikhila have appeared together in three films, starting with Jo and Jo. They have also collaborated on Ayalvaashi and 18+.
