Naslen makes his Tamil debut as a villain in Suriya’s ‘Scene’ and has asked audiences to judge his performance honestly, even inviting them to decide whether he should stick to Malayalam cinema.

Naslen is putting his first Tamil outing to the test with audiences. The Malayalam actor, who is set to appear in Suriya’s upcoming film ‘Scene’, has invited viewers to judge his performance and tell him whether he should continue exploring Tamil cinema or remain focused on Malayalam films.
At a promotional event in Dubai, Naslen spoke about the significance of the project and his willingness to learn from audience reactions. The actor, who takes on a villainous role in ‘Scene’, said he was open to criticism as he ventured into an unfamiliar film industry.
“This is my first Tamil film, and it is very special. After watching the film, you, the audience, should tell me whether I should stick to Malayalam cinema alone. Watch the film on November 6 and share your opinions. If there are any mistakes, please point them out. I will correct them. I play a slightly different character in this film. I hope to continue receiving everyone’s love,” he said, as quoted by Asianet News.
A new screen image for Naslen
Audiences familiar with Naslen’s Malayalam filmography will see him in a different light in ‘Scene’. The actor plays an antagonist, a shift from the roles that have established him in Malayalam cinema. The recently released glimpse offered viewers a preview of this change in screen persona.
The film stars Nazriya Nazim as the female lead, with Anand Raj, Lal and Raj Priyan in important roles.
‘Scene’ brings Malayalam talent to Tamil cinema
Directed by Jithu Madhavan, ‘Scene’ marks the filmmaker’s Tamil directorial debut following Malayalam films such as ‘Romancham’ and ‘Aavesham’. Composer Sushin Shyam is also making his Tamil debut with the project.
Actor and producer Suriya is backing the action-comedy, which brings together several names associated with Malayalam cinema. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on November 6.
For Naslen, the release represents more than a first appearance in another language. It is an opportunity to test a different kind of role before a new audience, with the actor making it clear that he is prepared to listen to what viewers have to say.
