Actor Naga Chaitanya recently spoke about his marriage to actress Sobhita Dhulipala, making a playful remark about how his home is now influenced by her Visakhapatnam roots.

At the trailer launch of his upcoming film 'Thandel,' Chaitanya referred to Sobhita as a “Vizag ammayi” (Vizag girl) and joked that the “ruling party” in his household now comes from the coastal city. In a video circulating on social media, he urged fans to support 'Thandel' at the box office, saying he might lose his honor at home if the film underperforms.

Chaitanya and Dhulipala, who have been in a relationship since 2022, got engaged in a private ceremony on Aug. 8, 2024. They married on Dec. 4, 2024, at Hyderabad’s Annapurna Studios in the presence of family and close friends.

The trailer for 'Thandel,' released on Jan. 28, 2025, introduces Chaitanya as a fisherman facing hardships at sea. Inspired by real events, the film follows a fisherman from Srikakulam who unknowingly drifts into Pakistani waters during a fishing expedition. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and co-starring Sai Pallavi, 'Thandel' blends action, romance and drama.

The film is set to release in theaters on Feb. 7, 2025.
