Actor Manchu Manoj has once again brought the long-standing family feud within the household of veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu into the public spotlight. In a dramatic turn of events, Manoj staged a sit-in protest outside his father’s residence in Jalpalli, Hyderabad, claiming he was denied entry and had “nowhere else to go.”
This follows a police complaint filed by Manoj on April 9 against his brother, actor Manchu Vishnu, alleging that Vishnu had trespassed into the family residence and taken away Manoj’s car and personal belongings while he was away in Rajasthan for his daughter’s birthday celebrations. Manoj claimed that on April 1, Vishnu and over 150 people entered the Jalpalli residence, assaulted his security personnel, and forcibly removed his vehicle and other valuables. The car, he added, was later found parked at Vishnu’s residence and subsequently moved to Madhapur after police visited the location.

The incident marks another chapter in a public and escalating dispute between members of the Manchu family, rooted in alleged property disagreements and inheritance claims. Just a few months earlier, both Mohan Babu and Manoj had appeared before the Rangareddy District Collector regarding the ownership of the Jalpalli residence. The confrontation included a verbal altercation, during which Mohan Babu insisted that Manoj vacate the property, arguing that it was purchased with his own earnings and could not be claimed by his son.
Mohan Babu later wrote to authorities seeking protection under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, alleging that Manoj had unlawfully entered his residence and was demanding property rights without legal basis.
The property has been the site of several confrontations, including a violent clash on December 10, 2024, during which Mohan Babu, Vishnu, and Manoj were booked under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for criminal trespass and voluntarily causing hurt.
The feud took an even more serious turn when Mohan Babu was booked for an alleged attempt to murder after he reportedly attacked a television reporter during a heated exchange.
As the rift between the once-celebrated film family members continues to widen, social media has been flooded with images and videos of Manoj’s solitary protest at the gate of his father’s home. Manoj’s assertion that he has been left without a home has resonated with many, drawing both public sympathy and criticism.
Meanwhile, actor Manchu Vishnu, who has been firmly aligned with his father throughout the dispute, appeared before Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu following the latest complaint. The family drama, once confined to whispers within industry circles, has now firmly entered the public domain.
