Actress Meena has responded to rumours suggesting that she is planning to remarry. She said such reports deeply hurt her and that they make her extremely angry. In an interview to Galatta Tamil, she pointed out that many people forget that she has a daughter.

“What I hear the most these days about myself are stories about a second marriage. If there were any truth to it, or if there was someone in my life, then writing or talking about it wouldn’t be wrong. But now, people are just writing whatever they feel like. Those spreading these rumours forget that I have a daughter and that she will see all this.

I am a woman, a celebrity, and I am single now. Maybe that makes some people think they can say anything. For me, this creates a lot of difficulty. It feels like harassment. I stay silent because I don’t want to waste my time and health on negative things. But I cannot say when my patience will run out.

I am a very positive person. I like to stay happy and share positive things. That is what I choose to focus on in my life,” Meena said.

Meena’s husband, Vidyasagar, died in June 2022 at a private hospital in Chennai due to lung ailments and post-Covid complications. The couple had tied the knot in 2009. Vidyasagar worked as an IT professional based in Bengaluru. Their daughter, Nainika, stepped into films with her debut in Vijay’s Theri.
