
The much-awaited film Maranamass, produced by actor Tovino Thomas, is making waves in the industry even before its official release. Starring Basil Joseph in the lead, the film has already piqued the interest of fans with reports indicating it belongs to the dark humor genre. Directed by newcomer Sivaprasad, Maranamass promises to offer a unique and entertaining cinematic experience.
In a recent viral video, the crew teased fans with the upcoming first look of the film. In the clip, Basil Joseph, who plays the lead role, is seen attending various events and sporting a cap that he refuses to remove, despite being asked repeatedly by people around him. His witty responses have made the video an instant hit on social media.
“I have built a Taj Mahal on my head, can’t show it, it’s rotten, it’s very boring,” Basil humorously remarks as he deflects any attempt to get him to remove his cap. His playful banter has captured the attention of his fans, and the video also features laughter and smiles from industry bigwigs Mammootty and Prithviraj, who join in the fun.
The film also features a stellar supporting cast. Apart from Basil Joseph, actors such as Babu Antony, Suresh Krishna, Siju Sunny, and Puliyanam Poulose are part of the ensemble.
Written by Siju Sunny and Sivaprasad, the script is based on a story by Siju Sunny. The film is produced by Tovino Thomas, Tingston Thomas, Thanseer Salam, and Raphael Pozholiparampil, under the banner of Tovino Thomas Productions in association with Worldwide Films.
