Ruri Rocks, the anime adaptation of Keiichirou Shibuya’s manga, premieres on July 6, 202

The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Ruri Rocks, based on Keiichirou Shibuya’s manga, is set to debut on Sunday, 6 July 2025, at 9:30 PM JST (6:00 PM IST).
Episode 1, titled "Collecting Minerals for the First Time", will air first on Tokyo MX and then on other Japanese networks such as BS11, ABC TV, TV Aichi, and AT-X.
This new slice-of-life series follows the journey of Ruri Tanigawa, a spirited high school student who becomes fascinated with mineralogy after encountering a sparkling crystal pendant. When she can’t afford to purchase it, Ruri heads to the mountains in search of similar natural treasures. Her quest brings her into contact with Nagi Arato, a graduate student in mineralogy. Though initially hesitant, Nagi agrees to help Ruri learn about mineral collection.
Episode 1 introduces viewers to the show’s unique blend of youthful curiosity, emotional growth, and educational storytelling rooted in geology. In their first adventure, Ruri and Nagi search riverbanks for garnets, and Ruri begins to see the scientific beauty behind the sparkle—marking the start of her transformation.

Ruri Rocks began its run in Harta magazine (Enterbrain) in August 2019 and has since gained a loyal readership for its unique take on science-driven storytelling. With five collected volumes published, its rising popularity led to this anime adaptation by Studio Bind, known for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.
