Mammootty’s latest film ‘Turbo’ has become an instant hit with audiences since its release. Mammootty's fresh appearance and the blend of action and comedy have set cinemas ablaze with excitement. A total of 224 extra screenings were added on the first day alone to accommodate the surge in audience, marking a record achievement for the film.
Across different theatres in Ernakulam district, more than 40 shows have been scheduled, while in Thiruvananthapuram district over 22 screenings are planned. Kozhikode and Malappuram districts are hosting more than 50 late-night shows, reflecting the enthusiastic response from audiences.
Clocking in at 2 hours and 32 minutes, ‘Turbo’ is directed by Vysakh under the banner of Mammootty Kampany with screenplay by Mithun Manuel Thomas. The film is distributed domestically by Wayfarer Films and internationally by Truth Global Films.
‘Turbo’ is the fifth production of Mammootty Kampany. The movie narrates the story of Jose, a jeep driver, with Mammootty leading the cast. Accompanying him are Kannada actor Raj B Shetty and Telugu actor Sunil in significant roles. The film places a strong emphasis on action sequences, masterfully executed by the Vietnam Fighters, while the background score is crafted by Christo Xavier and team. ‘Turbo’ reunites Mammootty and director Vysakh after ‘Pokkiri Raja’ and ‘Madhura Raja’.
