After a short recovery break, Malayalam movie star Mammootty has returned to his demanding acting schedule. Fans have been celebrating his recent appearances, including newly released photos and videos. Now, visuals of the veteran actor at Chennai airport with his family have caught the internet’s attention.

In the video, Dulquer Salmaan is seen bidding farewell to his father, giving a loving kiss to both Mammootty and his mother, Sulfath. The clip also shows Mammootty waving to his fans and interacting with them warmly. The video was shared on social media by Sharath T.K, a staff member who works with both Mammootty and Dulquer.

Mammootty had been on a brief hiatus from films for health reasons. He resumed shooting earlier this month after medical treatment during the filming of Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The actor had been resting at his Chennai residence before making a full recovery.

Close friends and producers Anto Joseph and George confirmed last month through social media that the actor was completely recovered and ready to return to work.

Patriot marks a major reunion in Malayalam cinema, featuring Mammootty and Mohanlal sharing the screen after 17 years. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathi. Its first schedule was filmed in Sri Lanka.

According to sources, Mammootty is expected to complete multiple schedules in the coming months, with his health now fully stabilised. The Chennai airport video showing Dulquer’s affectionate farewell has become a major highlight on social media, symbolising the strong familial bond between the two actors who have each carved their own legacy in Indian cinema.
