Kochi: Condoling the death of veteran actor KPAC Lalitha, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said she could make her way into hearts of different generations with her acting skills. Lalitha was made Chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy in 2016 when Pinarayi Vijayan became the Chief Minister.

Condolences started pouring in and the chief minister in his message said the Malayalam film industry has lost an actress who acted with many generations of actors, created her own space, and made a mark which will always be etched in the minds of all.

Until last year when her health deteriorated, she was very active in the film industry.

Noted Malayalam actor KPAC Lalitha passed away late Tuesday at her residence in Tripunithura near here. She was 74. Lalitha is survived by her actor-director son Sidharth Bharathan and daughter Sreekutty. She was married to the legendary Malayalam film director late Bharathan.
