After years away from acting, Malayalam actress Parvathi Jayaram wows fans with her music and dance tribute to Kanthara’s score.

Malayalam actress and dancer Parvathi Jayaram (Ashwathi) is making a return to the spotlight, not on screen but through music and dance. After a long hiatus from acting, she has shared a performance of the song ‘Varaharoopam’ from ‘Kanthara’, directed by Rishabh Shetty. The video was posted on Parvathy’s Instagram account named Aswathy Jayaram.
“This music has lived within me since Kantara… and with Kantara: A Legend-Chapter 1, it rose again, haunting, divine, unshakable.
This is my humble dedication to Ajaneesh Loknath for the ethereal score, the insanely talented Rishab Shetty for the soul-stirring creation, and Arvind S Kashyap for turning vision into a visual symphony. And last but never least to my king, Rajasekhara, my husband, Jayaram, thank you all for the magic that stays with the soul.” Parvathi wrote alongside the video.
Parvathi’s dance performance during her daughter Malavika Jayaram’s Sangeet Night also drew attention after her long absence from public performances. Clips of the performance were shared on Instagram by her children, Kalidas Jayaram and Malavika Jayaram, as part of their Instagram stories.
