The trailer for the 3D film 'Lovely,' which tells the unusual story of a bond between a fly and a young man named Boney, has been released. The visuals hint at a film brimming with wonder, magical realism, and a host of intriguing moments. 'Lovely' is set for theatrical release on May 2.
Directed by Dileesh Karunakaran, the film stars Mathew Thomas in the lead role, with a fly appearing as the other central character — a distinctive narrative element that sets the project apart.
Following the viral success of its first look poster, teaser, and songs, 'Lovely' marks Karunakaran’s return to writing and directing after his earlier work 'Tamar Padaar.' The film is produced under the banners of Western Ghats Productions and Neni Entertainments by Saranya and Dr Amar Ramachandran.
The cast also includes Manoj K Jayan, K.P.A.C. Leela, Ashwathy, Ganga Meera, and Prashanth Murali in key roles. Notably, the cinematography for 'Lovely' is helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Aashiq Abu, while the music has been composed by Vishnu Vijay and Bijibal. Editing duties are handled by Kiran Das.
