Director Lal Jose revealed that he had plans to direct a movie based on Benyamin's 'Aadujeevitham' novel.

The veteran director said he had registered a company called LJ Films to make this film and even found a person from the Delhi School of Drama to play the lead role.

In an interview given to the YouTube channel, Lal Jose said that after reading Aadujeevitham, he went to Bahrain and met Benyamin to inform him that he was interested in making a movie. The novelist was also happy and agreed, he said.

"I was sure I would not be able to do that film alone. So, the intention was to produce the film in collaboration with a foreign production house. However, LJ Films will do the pre-production and post-production of the movie. The filming will be done with the help of a British company," he said.

"I kept my plans to make a film based on Aadujeevitham very secret. It seems that Benyamin knew about it, and at that time, there was a story in a magazine about the movie. That's when director Blessy called me and inquired whether I was planning to do the movie. He said he had written a script based on the novel. I told Blessy to have a word with Benjamin. Later, I felt that Benjamin would be happier doing Blessy's film. That's why I gave it up. I knew Blessy could do it well,'' Lal Jose said.
