Television anchor Lakshmi Nakshathra has turned late actor and mimicry artist Kollam Sudhi's scent into a perfume, fulfilling the wishes of the actor's wife, Renu. The transformation was done by Yusuf, a Malayali from Dubai, and the process was documented in Lakshmi's latest YouTube video.
Renu had preserved the clothes worn by Sudhi at the time of his accident and expressed her desire to Lakshmi to turn her husband's scent into a perfume. She had heard of people identifying the scent of the deceased in their clothes and converting it into a fragrance. Lakshmi then travelled to Dubai and approached Yusuf, known for creating such perfumes.
"When Renu shared her desire, Yusuf's name was suggested by many people," Lakshmi explained in her vlog. "This video also serves as a response to those questioning why this should be made public instead of being done privately and handed over to Renu. Also, let this video be an inspiration to people who want to do the same."
Upon receiving the perfume, Lakshmi emotionally remarked that she was "going home with Sudhichettan." The video also captures a heartfelt phone conversation between Yusuf and Renu, with both in tears. The video has garnered significant attention and emotional responses from viewers.
