A recent BTS livestream led to a wave of confusion among fans after RM suddenly remarked that it might be 'time to disband' the group.

BTS fans were momentarily startled during a recent livestream when RM suggested it was “time to disband” the group – a remark that quickly circulated online before its humorous context became clear. The interaction, streamed on November 21 during a relaxed, post-practice session, featured RM and Jimin engaging with fans as they prepared for BTS’s first group album since members completed their military service.
What began as a light-hearted moment turned into a viral clip after the duo noticed their viewer count displaying just one person. Their playful reaction, however, reflected the group’s comfort and trust in one another rather than any serious intention.
Viewer count glitch sparks joke
The broadcast opened with RM and Jimin exchanging playful gestures before noticing something odd about the livestream metrics. Jimin, visibly shocked, lay on the floor and remarked, "Only 1 person joined." RM stayed calm, suggesting the viewer count might be taking time to load. Even so, Jimin joked further, adding, "The network doesn't really work here, but there's really just 1 viewer."
It was then that RM escalated the joke. With a straight face, he quipped, "Let's call it quits on our team. Time to disband?" Jimin responded in disbelief, "What do you mean, time to disband?" before bursting into laughter and shoving RM aside. RM wrapped up the bit by saying, "Because there's no one to watch us now [so we must disband]."
Jin joins the conversation from afar
Not long after, Jin left a comment noting that the pair had gone live immediately after he stepped out. RM and Jimin confirmed they had been rehearsing some older BTS tracks with him moments earlier. Fans interpreted Jin’s involvement – and the group’s easy banter – as further proof that the mood was light and far from serious.
Talk turns to the new group album
The duo also opened up about their upcoming album, with RM expressing his surprise at Jimin’s vocals on their latest recordings. Meanwhile, Jimin praised V’s contributions, sharing his admiration for the strength of his bandmate’s voice. Both acknowledged feeling nervous but excited about the project.
Their comments aligned with what Jin shared in an earlier interview. He reflected on joining the team in Los Angeles after completing a solo tour, admitting he was taken aback by the quality and near-completion of the songs they had already prepared.
