Kim Soo Hyun secures court order seizing YouTuber Kim Se Eui`s properties worth 4 billion KRW in defamation lawsuit.

South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun’s legal battle against YouTuber and HoverLab CEO Kim Se Eui has taken a significant turn, with the court approving a provisional seizure of the latter’s properties, estimated to be worth 4 billion KRW. The development comes as part of an ongoing defamation case filed by the actor’s agency.
According to a June 11 report by Newsen, Kim Soo Hyun’s legal representatives secured a court order to seize two real estate holdings belonging to Kim Se Eui. The actor had previously initiated legal action against the YouTuber over the dissemination of alleged false information and damaging content targeting him.
Although the court filings do not directly list Kim Soo Hyun’s name to protect his privacy, the seizure request was granted by the Seoul Central District Court. The lawsuit, filed for damages amounting to 11 billion KRW, resulted in the provisional seizure of two apartment complexes—Hanyang 4th Apartment in Apgujeong and Buksan Blooming Apartment in Seocho—valued at a combined total of 4 billion KRW.
In addition to the real estate assets, Kim Soo Hyun was also named among the creditors in a court-approved order to freeze HoverLab’s bank account. The account in question reportedly holds sponsorship funds for the online media outlet also known as Garosero Research Institute.
Legal experts have weighed in on the situation. As per Allkpop, one advisor noted, “This means the court found the lawsuit submitted by Kim Soo Hyun’s side sufficiently compelling. They substantiated who was responsible for the defamatory actions and detailed the estimated damage to the agency.”
