Following the success of ‘Pokkiri Raja’ (2010), actor Prithviraj and director Vysakh reunite for their new film ‘Khalifa’. The first glimpse of the film was unveiled by Prithviraj himself on his social media channels, timed to coincide with the actor’s birthday. The teaser runs for 2 minutes and 51 seconds.

Prithviraj plays a character named Aamir Ali in the film. The glimpse video hints at the character’s lineage and sets the tone for a revenge saga, as suggested earlier by the poster’s tagline: “Revenge will be written in gold letters.” Above the title, the film is also referred to as ‘The Ruler’. No other details about the supporting cast have been revealed yet.

Khalifa is scripted by Jinu V Abraham, marking his collaboration after the film ‘Kaduva’. The technical crew includes Jomon T John as cinematographer, Jakes Bijoy composing the music, Chaman Chakko handling editing, and Mohandas as production designer. Action sequences are choreographed by Yannick Ben, with Suresh Diwakar as co-director and Mashar Hamsa overseeing costumes.

Vishwanath Aravind is responsible for art direction, while Amal Chandran manages makeup. Sound design is by Sync Cinema, with additional music by Jabir Sulaim and final mixing by M R Rajakrishnan. Production controllers are Reni Diwakar and Vinosh Kaimal, colourist Srik Warrier, and poster design by Aesthetic Kunjamma. The film’s visual effects are led by Prashanth Nair (3DS), still photography by Sinat Xavier, and public relations by Shabari.

Fans have expressed great enthusiasm following the release of the first glimpse, eagerly awaiting more details about the film’s storyline and cast.
