Thiruvananthapuram: Noted director Priyadarshan has paid homage to veteran actor Nedumudi Venu who breathed his last on Monday. The director said that Nedumudi is like his elder brother. The duo teamed up for more than 30 movies.

“Venuchettan was the hero in my debut movie ‘Poochakkoru Mookuthi’. Interestingly, I was lucky to direct his last film ‘Summer of 92’, which was released through Netflix. I consider these movies as an omen in my life. We both are from Kuttanad. Apart from it, he is like an elder brother to me. We worked together on 31 films. So, he used to tease me asking that how did I tolerate him in 31 films. But I enjoyed it,” recollected Priyadarshan.

“His only interest was to act and be sincere towards acting. He was not bothered about the film or character. He was focused to give his signature to roles played by him. His demise is a great loss to me. May his soul rest in peace,” said Priyadarshan.
