Hyderabad: Actress Keerthy Suresh found herself caught in a social media storm during a press meet on Wednesday while promoting her upcoming film Revolver Rita. She was confronted by a reporter over her comment that her favourite dancer is Tamil star Vijay, triggering reactions from Chiranjeevi’s fans.

The reporter pressed Keerthy, questioning whether she was disrespecting Chiranjeevi by praising Vijay’s dance. Remaining calm and composed, Keerthy clarified, “It’s not about who is better. Chiranjeevi garu knows how big a fan I am of Vijay sir. I love Chiranjeevi garu, I respect him, and I didn’t mean to hurt anyone. If I’ve upset his fans, I’m sorry.”

Keerthy further emphasised her admiration for both stars, saying, “Chiranjeevi garu and Vijay sir are both legends...I had a conversation about this with Chiranjeevi garu himself, and he appreciated my honesty. I never meant to compare them or disrespect him.”

The actress also highlighted her personal connections, mentioning, “My mother has worked with Chiranjeevi garu, and we all know he is a megastar. But Vijay sir is also a legend. When asked about my favourite dancer, I spoke my mind honestly.”

This controversy revolves around an earlier interview where Keerthy Suresh had been asked to pick the better dancer between Chiranjeevi and Vijay, to which she responded that Vijay is her favourite.
