The first look poster of Vineeth Sreenivasan's upcoming thriller "Karam" has been unveiled by Merryland Cinemas and Habit of Life. Signalling a stark shift from his signature genre, the poster suggests that Vineeth is venturing into a darker, more intense cinematic space. Featured on the poster is lead actor Noble Babu Thomas, wielding a gun, setting the tone for a gripping narrative. The film is slated for a worldwide release on 25 September 2025.

Produced by Visakh Subramaniam under Merryland Cinemas in collaboration with Vineeth Sreenivasan's Habit of Life, "Karam" marks the duo's reunion after the success of "Hridayam" and "Varshangalkku Shesham". This is Vineeth's return to production after "Aanandam" and "Helen". The film stars Noble Babu Thomas in the lead and is Vineeth's directorial follow-up to "Thira", marking his entry into the thriller genre.

Merryland Cinemas has a legacy that dates back to 1955 with "C.I.D.", considered Malayalam's first crime thriller. Seventy years on, the banner returns to its roots with another thriller that has already sparked anticipation among filmgoers. Known for his emotional and relationship-driven narratives, Vineeth's pivot to a thriller format has generated considerable excitement among audiences.

A high-budget production, "Karam" has been extensively shot in Georgia, along the borders of Russia and Azerbaijan. Pre-production began in April 2024, following nearly a year of location scouting. A five-day schedule was completed in Shimla and Chandigarh, with a single day of shooting held in Kochi, Kerala.

The film reunites Vineeth with cinematographer Jomon T. John and composer Shaan Rahman, with whom he previously collaborated on "Thattathin Marayathu", "Thira", and "Jacobinte Swargarajyam". Editing is handled by Ranjan Abraham. Noble Babu Thomas not only plays the lead role but has also written the screenplay. A producer of "Jacobinte Swargarajyam" and co-writer of "Helen", Noble has also acted in both films.

The female leads are Audrey Miriam and Reshma Sebastian. The supporting cast includes Manoj K. Jayan, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Babu Antony, Vishnu G. Warrier and Johny Antony. The film's overseas theatrical rights have been acquired by Phars Films.

Line producers Parvathi K. Madhu and Madhav Ramesh, daughter and son-in-law of veteran filmmaker K. Madhu, are steering the film's production. Executive producer: Shravan Krishnakumar. The line production in Georgia is managed by Mak Irakli Makaltsaria (Mak Productions).
