Malayali digital artist Jyo John Mulloor, who lives in Dubai, has brought a fresh wave of creativity to the success of Lokah: Chapter One – Chandra. The film, which has already become a massive box office hit, inspired him to design a fun and unusual Instagram campaign.

In the movie, Kalyani Priyadarshan plays Chandra (Neeli), a modern reimagining of the yakshi legend. Mulloor imagined what it would be like if Neeli launched her own brand — and the results have delighted fans.

His concept ads feature quirky Neeli products — toothpaste, skin repair cream, blood chips, deodorant, perfume, and hair oil. Each carries Neeli’s signature touch, from her fangs to the palpoo flower.

Sharing the campaign on Instagram, Mulloor wrote:

“Never-before-revealed — Neeli’s life hacks.

From a Yakshi’s bite to a glowing smile, from moonlit secrets to power beyond time.

Today we celebrate a new era — congratulations to @kalyanipriyadarshan, our first lady superhero of Malayalam cinema.

Huge respect to the entire @lokahofficial team for building this universe with love and madness.

And a special thank you to @dqsalmaan and @dqswayfarerfilms, for giving Malayalam cinema its very own cosmic universe.”

Actor Santhy Balachandran, who co-wrote Lokah, responded to the post with laughter, adding to the light-hearted mood that Mulloor’s creations have sparked.

A blockbuster run for Lokah

While Mulloor’s campaign is grabbing attention online, the film itself is rewriting box office history. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, Lokah: Chapter One – Chandra has crossed ₹200 crore worldwide. It is only the fourth Malayalam film to reach the mark, and the second to gross more than ₹100 crore overseas.

The fantasy thriller, directed and written by Dominic Arun, stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen, with Dulquer and Tovino Thomas playing key roles. Released just two weeks ago, it entered the ₹100 crore club in its very first week and continues to attract audiences in India and abroad. Dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi are also doing well.

Lokah is more than just a film; it is the beginning of a five-part superhero cinematic universe rooted in the folklore of Kalliyankattu Neeli. The announcement that Mammootty will play the character ‘Moothon’ in the upcoming instalments has only added to the excitement.

The film also features Chandu Salimkumar, Arun Kurian, Sharath Sabha, Nishant Sagar, and Vijayaraghavan.
