Actor Kalidas Jayaram tied the knot with model Tarini Kalingarayar, in a ceremony held at Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple on Sunday. The wedding was attended by close family members, while well-wishers and fans quickly showered the couple with blessings and warm wishes. However, the question capturing everyone’s attention is: Who is Tarini Kalingarayar?
23-year-old Tarini is a native of Nilgiris. Her grandfather was an Air Force officer and a former Member of Parliament. Tarini completed her primary education at Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram School in Chennai and later pursued a degree in Visual Communication from MOP Vaishnav College. Tarini began her modelling journey at the age of 16 and expanded her interests by pursuing filmmaking alongside her college studies.
In 2019, Tarini was crowned Miss Tamil Nadu, and in 2021, she was the runner-up at Miss Diva. These achievements brought her widespread attention in the modelling industry.
Kalidas and Tarini got engaged in Chennai in November 2023.
