Malayalam actor Jayasurya has denied reports claiming that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned him again for questioning in connection with the Save Box app investment scam. Jayasurya clarified that neither he nor his wife has received any fresh notice or instruction from the ED.

The actor stated that he had already appeared before the ED earlier on the 24th and 29th of December as per official summons. However, he said no new summons has been issued so far, asking him to appear again.
"Apart from receiving summons through the panel for the past two days, neither my wife nor I have received any such summons from the ED up to the time of writing this post,” read a note the actor shared on social media.
Questioning the reports, Jayasurya said it is impossible to judge the intentions of those who approach public figures for advertising and promotional activities, and how such associations could later be portrayed or misused.
“I am just a responsible citizen who conducts all financial transactions only legally and pays correct taxes to the public exchequer,” he added.
Background of the Save Box app case
The Save Box app was launched in 2019, promoting online auctions that promised electronic devices at lower prices. Several film personalities, including Jayasurya, had attended the app’s launch event as chief guests.
The ED suspects that Jayasurya may have had an agreement with Save Box to become the brand ambassador and is examining whether the money he received was linked to funds generated through the alleged scam.
Jayasurya was previously questioned at the ED office in Kochi, where his wife Saritha was also present. The investigation is ongoing, and the actor has maintained that he has fully cooperated with the authorities.
