Actor Janhvi Kapoor was visibly shaken after an overenthusiastic fan breached security during a promotional event for the upcoming film ‘Peddi’, which stars her alongside Ram Charan.

Videos from the event, now circulating widely on social media, captured a tense moment when a fan managed to get past the barricades and rush towards where Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor and director Buchi Babu Sana were seated.

The incident unfolded unexpectedly as the fan, who appeared to have styled himself in a manner similar to Ram Charan, attempted to approach the actor. Security personnel and venue bouncers intervened just moments before he could reach him, triggering a brief scuffle near the stage. 

Fan's sudden dash causes commotion

According to footage from the event, the fan lost his balance amid the intervention and stumbled into the seating area. While the visuals are not entirely clear, the clip suggests that he fell against the handle of the sofa where Janhvi Kapoor was seated when Ram Charan’s personal body guard stopped him from approaching the actor.

The sudden disturbance left Kapoor startled. Her immediate reaction was captured by live broadcast cameras and quickly became a major talking point online, with many social media users commenting on her visibly anxious expression.

Kevin Kunta, Ram Charan's personal bodyguard, swiftly stepped in and escorted the fan away from the area before the situation could escalate further.

Ram Charan's composed response praised online

While the incident sparked concern among attendees, many social media users were equally focused on Ram Charan's calm demeanour throughout the episode.

The internet was flooded with reactions such as "International Level security..", "World level Security... What a Man", and "Jahnvi's reaction stole the whole show", among others.

A separate video from later in the event showed the same fan being allowed to meet Ram Charan in a more controlled setting. In the clip, the fan is seen expressing gratitude to the actor and even bowing at his feet, while security maintained order around the interaction.

‘Peddi’ is an action-sports drama set in rural Andhra Pradesh during the 1980s. The film stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles and also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.

The project is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, with Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman handling the music.

The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas and co-produced by Ishan Saksena under IVY Entertainment. It is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

Slated to release on June 4, ‘Peddi’ is one of the most anticipated Telugu releases of the year.
