Actress Rani Sarran has shared her excitement about acting with Mohanlal in the film ‘Thudarum.’ She expressed her joy by posting a picture from the film’s set, where she appears alongside Mohanlal, Shobi Thilakan, and Binu Pappu.

According to Rani, Mohanlal remarked on set that he had worked with the fathers of several actors, including herself, and that he considered it a blessing to now act alongside their children. Rani Sarran is the daughter of veteran actor Manjeri Chandran. In ‘Thudarum,’ she plays the role of Maniyan’s mother.

"There are moments when you can’t quite tell if it’s a dream or reality. I never dreamed that I would be part of a film like ‘Thudarum,’ or that I’d get to experience such a moment. It was completely unexpected when Renjithettan (M Renjith) called me to play Maniyan’s mother. I didn’t have to think twice before saying yes.

When I reached the location, even as Tharun was briefing me, I didn’t realise I’d be in a combination scene with Lalettan (Mohanlal). Alongside me were Shobi Chettan — the son of my father’s friend, the late Thilakan uncle — and Binu, the son of my father’s dear friend, Pappu uncle. Everything about it was just incredibly sweet.

In the scene, we are walking into the police station while Lalettan is driving out in a car. We were standing near the gate waiting for the shot when Shobi Chettan told me, ‘I think Lalettan is talking about us to Binu.’ After the shot, Chettan asked Binu what Lalettan had said. Binu replied, ‘I’ve acted with your fathers. And now I’m acting with you children. I feel so happy about that.’

That’s when we all realised the same thing. Just then, Lalettan came closer and asked, ‘Isn’t it such a blessing that this could happen?’ I replied, ‘Yes Laletta, it’s a blessing for us.’ Right after that, I asked Renjithettan if we could take a photo together. Renjithettan told Lalettan, ‘Rani is asking if the three of them can take a photo with you.’ Lalettan replied, ‘That’s a great idea, let’s take one,’ and that’s how this photo happened.

Whatever the future holds, this memory will always remain incredibly sweet. I believe my father is watching all this and knows everything from above.”
