Rumours suggested Deepika Padukone’s role in ‘Raaka’ might be reduced or replaced amid her pregnancy

Ever since Deepika Padukone announced her pregnancy, there has been growing curiosity around her upcoming film ‘Raaka’. From claims of her screen time being reduced to talk of a possible replacement, speculation picked up quickly. The film’s team has now responded, putting the rumours to rest.
In a statement to The Times of India, the team behind the film rejected the claims, calling them entirely unfounded.
“Everything is moving as planned. Deepika Padukone plays a crucial role in Raaka, and the shoot is unfolding seamlessly with great energy on set,” the team said, putting an end to the speculation.
This clarification comes shortly after reports emerged that Deepika, who recently announced her pregnancy, intends to continue shooting for ‘Raaka’ throughout this phase.
According to an industry insider, “During her pregnancy, Deepika Padukone is shooting intense action sequences for Raaka. She will continue to shoot for the film throughout her pregnancy.” It was also noted that both the actor and the production team have taken necessary precautions while working on the project.
With ‘Raaka’ and another film, ‘King’, already locked into release schedules and operating on tight timelines, Deepika is said to be focused on staying on track. The source added that she remains committed to continuing the shoot during her pregnancy.
On Sunday, Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh shared a joint post on Instagram, announcing that they are set to welcome a child again.
