Yash’s ‘Toxic’ pre-release event in Hyderabad took a scary turn after a structure collapsed, injuring four people.

Hyderabad: Four people, including a student, were injured after a sound box system collapsed during the pre-release event of Yash-starrer ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ at Malla Reddy University in Hyderabad on Saturday night.
The incident took place at the private university in Medchal, where a large crowd had gathered to see Yash address fans ahead of the film’s release.
According to police, a group of young attendees climbed onto the stand supporting the sound box system when the structure suddenly collapsed.
Four people fell from the structure and sustained injuries. They were immediately taken to a hospital for treatment. A senior police official said one student suffered a leg fracture, while the other three sustained minor injuries.
A case has been registered against the management of the institution and the event manager in connection with the incident.

The accident also caught Yash’s attention while he was addressing the crowd. The actor briefly stopped his speech after noticing the structure collapse and asked those nearby to check on the injured attendees.
“Is it okay there? Please check...be careful. Are you safe?” Yash asked from the stage.
The actor later noticed another group of fans apparently climbing onto a different elevated structure. He urged them to come down before continuing with his address.
The incident comes as excitement builds around ‘Toxic’, which stars Yash in the lead role. Written by Yash and Mohandas, the action-thriller saga is set in Goa across the 1940s to the 1970s.

Yash plays Raya, a gangster, in the film, which promises a period gangster story with a darker and larger-than-life setting. But after the unexpected accident at the Hyderabad event, questions are likely to be raised about crowd and event safety as fans turn out in large numbers for the much-anticipated film.
