Chennai: Income Tax Department has cleared Tamil actor Vijay of tax fraud. The enforcement directorate said that the actor has paid his taxes for the movies ‘Bigil’ and ‘Master’. They have opened the rooms in the actor’s house that were sealed earlier.
The actor was taken into custody during the shooting of Lokesh Kanakaraj’s movie ‘Master’. The Income Tax Department carried out raids in the house of the man who gave money on interest for the production of ‘Bigil’ movie. Money worth Rs 77 crores were seized in the raid.
Raid was also carried out in various offices of AGS entertainments, the production company which produced ‘Bigil’. The raid was carried out when the shooting of the new movie was halted. Vijay was questioned for nearly 30 hours and later the officials had to leave without finding any money.
