Kochi: Healthcare company HLL Lifecare has set up a stall to promote the usage of menstrual cups at the IFFK venue here. Christened Thinkal, the stall aims at creation of awareness on menstrual hygiene. 
 
Due to the Covid pandemic, the promotion of the use of menstrual cups had not happened as expected. But putting up such a stall at the film festival venue, it is seen that creating awareness would get a boost. 
 
Earlier, women were hesitant to approach such stalls and enquire more about the topic, but with the awareness creation exercise being taken up in a major way, even men are approaching the stall at IFFK and making enquiries, says Rajini, project co-ordinator, Thinkal. At IFFK, as part of the promotion, the menstrual cups are given away free of cost to women arriving at the IFFK venues to watch the films screened.
