Palakkad: The 25th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala witnessed a protest over the fuel price hike amid the motor vehicle strike on Tuesday. Aahlad, a 40-year-old man from Kollengode, took a bicycle ride to the IFFK venue to mark his protest against the fuel price hike.
He covered 24 kilometres on his bicycle to reach the venue to show solidarity to the statewide motor vehicle strike. He also displayed a board reading ‘Achche Din’ sarcastically criticizing the central government.
The delegates at the IFFK venue looked curious at Ahlad’s unique protest. Many people congratulated him for making the effort.
Aahlad is working in the film industry namely short film production.
Meanwhile, the motor vehicle strike affected the IFFK delegates. Though many people reached IFFK on Monday, the number of delegates were very low on Tuesday. Some people depended on private vehicles to reach the venue.
