An Instagram story by screenwriter and director Devadath Shaji has sparked remarkable discussion. He criticised a recently released film—without explicitly naming it—suggesting that using technical brilliance to justify flawed ideologies is problematic. Devadath Shaji is the writer of the Mammootty-starrer Bheeshma Parvam and the director of the film Dheeran.

In his post, Devadath Shaji noted, "If a movie uses high quality making to validate a wrong idea, the technical skill becomes a tool for manipulation!"

As he used a song from the first instalment of the movie Dhurandhar in the background of his post, many believe his remarks are directed at Dhurandhar 2.

The success and controversy of 'Dhurandhar 2'

Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar 2 is currently creating a massive wave at the box office. The film is shattering records, earning approximately ₹240 crore worldwide on its opening day alone.

While the movie—which follows an Indian spy sent to dismantle a terrorist group in Pakistan—is receiving a massive public reception, its central theme is simultaneously triggering intense debates and discussions.
