
Thodupuzha: The controversial movie ‘The Kerala Story’ was screened in the churches of Idukki diocese. This move came at a time when controversies were all over the place over airing this movie in Doordarshan. According to the sources, the movie was shown to students in classes 10, 11 and 12 as part of the catechism classes.
Speaking to the Mathrubhumi News, PRO Fr Jins Karakkat of the Idukki Diocese said that the film was shown on April 4th as a part of the catechism class.
He added that the theme of this year's vacation class for students was "love," and in order to create awareness among them, this film was screened and an open discussion was held, urging to put their views forward.
