Kochi: Actor Anupama Parameswaran has been more active in the Telugu film industry in recent years. Her last Malayalam outing was JSK, starring Suresh Gopi, released in 2025

Now, the actor is in the spotlight for a deeply emotional revelation she shared during the promotions of her latest Telugu film, Kishkindhapuri.

Speaking to Mana Stars, Anupama recalled, "My old friend of mine... due to some problem, we don't talk anymore, so he texted me. Actually, two days before that, I met him somewhere randomly. Then he texted me two days later. I decided I didn't want any more problems, and I didn't reply. Two days later, he expired. He was going through cancer. So the last message was his message to me, and I didn't reply. It's a very scary thing; if we have a fight with someone close and then something happens to them, that remains a very bad memory. That's one thing I will want to wipe away."

The actor’s candid confession has sparked conversations among fans, many praising her honesty about personal struggles.

Her latest film, Kishkindhapuri, starring Srinivas Bellamkonda, hit theatres on September 12. Despite receiving a positive response, its box office collections have remained average. Directed by Koushik Pegallapati and produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens, the movie follows a group of people who embark on a ghost tour and stumble into an abandoned radio station, only to awaken a sleeping spirit that puts their lives in peril.

The technical team of the film includes Manisha A Dutt as the Production Designer, D. Siva Kamesh as the art director, and Niranjan Devaramane as the editor. G. Kanishka is the Creative Head of the film, which has Darahas Palakollu as its co-writer.
