"Now I understand why people call him Power Star — it’s not just about screen presence; it’s about the power in his heart,” the actor hailed Pawan Kalyan.

After grossing over ₹150 crores in its first week, Pawan Kalyan’s OG, directed by Sujeeth, continues its juggernaut at the box office, steadily inching towards the ₹300-crore mark. The film is poised to become the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year.
OG, helmed by Sujeeth, features the expertise of ace editor Navin Nooli, celebrated cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, and thunderous music by Thaman S.
Pawan Kalyan, as is well known, is one of the most revered mass heroes in Indian cinema today — and he currently serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
With a fan base both within and outside the film industry, what is now gaining traction is actor Arjun Das’s candid revelation at a public event related to OG. Arjun, who played a pivotal role in the film, spoke emotionally about his admiration for Pawan Kalyan.
His words have since been enthusiastically embraced by Power Star fans, who continue to celebrate their hero with renewed energy and passion.
Here’s what Arjun Das said:
The young actor shared a touching note expressing his admiration and gratitude for the Telugu cinema icon. Known for his deep voice and intense screen presence, Arjun reflected on his personal experiences with Power Star Pawan Kalyan, revealing the profound impact the actor had on him both professionally and personally.
"Ever since OG started, fans of Pawan Sir would approach me with two questions — ‘Any update on OG?’ and ‘How is Pawan Sir doing?’" Arjun shared. "All I had to say was that he’s doing well, and they would leave with a smile. I know that love isn’t for me — it’s for anyone associated with him."
The actor went on to recall a deeply personal moment:
"I still remember the first time Pawan Sir spoke to me. He said he’d watched my interviews. I immediately called my parents and told them, ‘Pawan Kalyan Sir knows who I am!’" he wrote. "Across the shoot, I must have spoken to him for around two hours. I will cherish those conversations forever."
Arjun also shared a lighter moment, when Pawan Kalyan complimented his performance in Good Bad Ugly, particularly praising "Jammy", a reference to a role or scene the senior actor enjoyed. "I didn’t know how to react — it meant so much to me."
Describing Pawan Kalyan’s humility and generosity, Arjun added:
"Now I understand why people call him Power Star — it’s not just about screen presence; it’s about the power in his heart. His kindness, generosity, and humility are extraordinary. He’s incredibly hardworking, and I must say — while he looks stylish on screen, he’s even more stylish in real life."
He recounted a particularly telling gesture: "Despite being busy and in costume, with blood on his shirt from a scene, he took the time to change just so I could take a picture with him. It says so much about who he is as a person."
Arjun also recalled how Pawan Kalyan publicly appreciated his voiceover work in HHVM by tweeting about it — something he didn’t have to do, but did anyway. "Sir, I mean it genuinely — there are no favours with me. If you ever need me, I’m just a message or call away. I truly hope to work with you again."
Ending on a heartfelt note, Arjun said he would miss the daily hugs on set and addressed questions he had received about his enthusiastic promotion of OG:
"Many people asked why I’ve been promoting this film so much. I never replied, but here’s the truth: it’s because it’s your film, Sir. In any future project of yours — even if it’s a one-minute role or I’m just a blur in the background — I’ll happily be a part of it."
He added that the only other person he has said this to is director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
"Sir, if you call me, I’ll be there — for anything. I don’t know why, but you feel like family. Thank you, Pawan Annaya (brother). From now on, with your permission, I’d like to call you 'Annaya'."
Arjun’s endearing words about Pawan Kalyan are a testament to the respect he holds for his senior colleague.
