Dhanush's latest directorial venture Idli Kadai, in which he also plays the lead role, is out in theatres to rather good responses.

The emotional drama about homecoming, set against a rural Tamil backdrop, boasts an ensemble cast besides Dhanush, including Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Arun Vijay, Samuthirakani, and Shalini Pandey. The music for the film is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.

As the movie continues to garner attention, what has particularly caught the interest of filmgoers are the revelations made by the lead actor, Nithya Menen, during the pre-release event of Idli Kadai.

Addressing the gathering, the National Award-winning actor said,

“Initially, when Dhanush invited me to join this film, I said no because I was busy filming another project, and the dates clashed.”

Talking further, Nithya added,

“Just weeks before the shoot began, I told Dhanush, ‘Listen, I’ll do this film — I feel so,’ and then I found myself juggling between Idli Kadai and Porotta Kadai,”

(in reference to Vijay Sethupathi’s film Thalaivan Thalaivii, directed by Pandiraj), Nithya recalled her endeavors in a lighter tone.

In Pandiraj's Thalaivan Thalaivii, Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi play a married couple who run an eatery especially known for its delicious porottas.

Notably, Thalaivan Thalaivii, which released earlier this year, also received a warm reception at the box office, contributing to Nithya’s stellar run in recent times.

The behind-the-scenes stories narrated by Nithya stand as yet another example of the strenuous careers and thoughtful choices that actors often have to make — all in pursuit of 70mm glory!
