Unidentified persons fired multiple rounds outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence; police launch probe.

Mumbai: Unidentified persons allegedly opened fire outside the residence of filmmaker Rohit Shetty in Mumbai’s western suburb of Juhu in the early hours of Sunday, officials said.
The firing was reported during the early morning hours, prompting authorities to step up security outside the building, an official said.
“Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and crime branch teams are investigating,” the official said.
It was not immediately clear whether the filmmaker was present at the residence at the time of the incident, he added.
Preliminary information suggests that four rounds were fired at the building by unknown persons. No injuries have been reported, the official said.
Personnel from the Juhu Police station and the crime branch rushed to the spot soon after the incident and began the investigation. A forensic science team has also reached the location to collect evidence, while heavy police deployment remains in place outside the premises, he said.
