Condoling the demise of PV Gangadharan, filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad on Friday said that beyond a producer, PVG was like an elder brother to him and they always shared similar views and thoughts.

Speaking to Mathrubhumi.com, Sathyan Anthikad said, “As a producer, PV Gangadharan was a person who had put the most trust on me. When told an idea, he will see the movie in mind. That’s how, I was able to do movies like ‘Veendum Chila Veettukaryangal’, ‘Achuvinte Amma’ and ‘Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal’ for him.”

He further added that PVG was a very simple and humble person. “If we have even an ounce of arrogance in mind, then all of it will vanish on seeing Gangettan. He has never criticised or gossiped about anyone,” Sathyan Anthikad said.

Noted film producer, AICC member and Mathrubhumi whole-time director, PV Gangadharan, passed away on Friday morning at a private hospital in Kozhikode. He was 80 years old. He was hospitalised for more than a week due to age-related ailments.
