Mumbai: Bahraini rapper Flipperachi, who gained popularity in India after his song FA9LA featured in the spy thriller Dhurandhar, has cancelled his upcoming performances in the country due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

The artist was scheduled to make his Indian debut with a concert at Phoenix Marketcity, Mumbai, on March 13. The show was organised by Eva Live and Zee Live, with Mastercard as the presenting partner, and was part of Flipperachi’s expanding international tour.

Cancellation of UN40 festival appearance

Flipperachi will also not be performing at the UN40 festival, set for 14–15 March. In an official statement, the organisers said:

“In light of the current situation in the Middle East and Bahrain, Flipperachi will not be able to perform at UN40 this weekend. While we were excited to have him on the lineup, the circumstances make it difficult for him to travel at this time. We continue to look forward to an amazing weekend of performances and unforgettable moments at UN40.”

The festival’s social media post added:

“Unfortunately, @flipperachay will not be able to perform at UN40 this weekend due to the current situation in the Middle East. We’ll miss him on the lineup, but the UN40 weekend is still packed with incredible performances and experiences. See you there.”

Fans in India who were eagerly awaiting Flipperachi’s live shows will now have to wait until conditions allow international travel to resume safely.
