Tamil superstar Dhanush has landed in a legal tangle. A production company has sent the actor a legal notice demanding ₹20 crore as compensation. The Chennai-based Thenandal Studio has come forward against Dhanush.

In 2016, the production company had entered into an agreement with Dhanush to make a film titled Naan Rudran. However, the shooting of the film has not begun so far. As per the agreement, Dhanush himself was supposed to direct the film. Later, the production company decided to change the director. The legal notice states that Dhanush was not willing to hand over the script.

Without allocating dates for the agreed project, Dhanush acted in other films. The delay has allegedly caused huge financial losses to the production company. The producers have informed Dhanush that they will proceed with legal action if compensation is not paid.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has not responded to the allegations. He is currently busy with the film tentatively titled D55, in which he plays the lead role. The film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who helmed Amaran. Mammootty will appear in a key role in the film, which is being produced by Dhanush himself.
