New Delhi: Musician Mika Singh has sparked controversy by calling Diljit Dosanjh a "fake singer" and accusing him of acting "irresponsibly" after the musician collaborated with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his upcoming film 'Sardaar Ji 3'. Singh took to Instagram to express his disappointment, stating that artists should think twice before releasing content featuring artists from across the border, especially when national dignity is involved.

Mika Singh took to Instagram to express his disappointment with Diljit Dosanjh's collaboration with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. In his note titled "Desh Pehle (Nation First)", Singh wrote, "Guys, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan isn't going well right now. Yet some people continue to act irresponsibly."

Singh recalled the controversy surrounding Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor's movie, which was banned in India following the Pahalgam terror attack. He expressed shock that despite such examples, some artists fail to understand the gravity of the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. Singh also slammed Diljit for his silence amid the controversy, saying he left his fans "betrayed" and "helpless".

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has also condemned Diljit Dosanjh and his team for casting Hania Aamir in 'Sardaar Ji 3' and demanded action from the Indian government. As per ANI reports, FWICE has called for the revocation of the filmmaker's passport and a nationwide ban on the film's release in India, citing Aamir's controversial stance against India and her role in spreading anti-India narratives.

In response, Diljit Dosanjh shared a cryptic post on Instagram that read, "Censored before release?" which seemed to hint at the controversy surrounding his film. Despite the backlash, Diljit has announced that 'Sardaar Ji 3' will be released exclusively overseas on June 27. The controversy has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many calling for a boycott of the film.
