
In an exciting development for movie fans, Mollywood's favorite star Fahadh Faasil is set to make his much-anticipated Bollywood debut under the direction of the celebrated filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. According to reports from Peepingmoon.com, the actor will star opposite Triptii Dimri, who made her Bollywood debut in Ali’s 2018 film Laila Majnu.
Triptii, who garnered widespread attention for her role in Animal, alongside Ranbir Kapoor, is already making waves in the industry. Fahadh Faasil’s entry into Bollywood will undoubtedly excite his fans, as the actor is known for his versatile performances in Malayalam cinema.
Imtiaz Ali, renowned for his distinctive storytelling and exploration of unconventional love stories, is returning to theatrical filmmaking with this project after his Netflix film Amar Singh Chamkila, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra. While plot details of the new film have been kept under wraps, sources indicate it will follow the signature themes of Ali’s previous work, a unique and unconventional love story.
Reports suggest that the final script is currently being refined, with production expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025. Imtiaz Ali will also produce the film under his banner, Window Seat Films.
On the work front, Triptii Dimri is busy with upcoming projects, including Vishal Bhardwaj’s gangster thriller alongside Shahid Kapoor and Suresh Triveni’s comedy-drama, both slated to begin production in 2025.
Fahadh Faasil, meanwhile, is gearing up for his appearance in the highly awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule alongside Allu Arjun. Additionally, Fahadh has several other exciting projects in the pipeline, including Karate Chandran, Don't Trouble the Trouble and Oxygen, which are sure to showcase his acting range.
