After a string of jaw-dropping surprises during his India tour, British singer Ed Sheeran took things to the next level by performing a hit Telugu-language song, "Chuttamalle," leaving fans in awe. The pop star, known for his musical versatility, continued to make waves with his ongoing India tour, where every day seems to bring a new surprise.

From his unexpected free street performance in Bengaluru to his sitar lessons and collaborations with Indian artists, Sheeran has fully immersed himself in Indian culture. But his surprise performance of the Telugu song "Chuttamalle" has truly captivated his fans, showcasing his dedication to learning and celebrating local music. Fans in Bengaluru were seen vibing with Sheeran, singing along to the track, as the singer expressed his admiration for Shilpa Rao, who joined him on stage for the performance.

Taking to social media after the concert, Sheeran shared his excitement: “Obsessed with @shilparao’s voice for the last while, a real privilege to share the stage tonight, and learn a new language!” His collaboration with Rao added another unforgettable moment to his India tour.

Fans were quick to react to his video performing the Telugu song, with one jokingly commenting, "Give this man an Aadhaar card," and another writing, "My man is speed running Indian languages at this point." The video has already crossed 2.9 million views, further highlighting the excitement around Sheeran's connection with Indian music and culture.

Earlier in the day, Sheeran had also given a surprise free concert on the streets of Bengaluru, only to be temporarily interrupted by a policeman who didn’t recognise him. Sheeran quickly cleared up the confusion on Instagram, assuring fans that the performance had been planned and they had "permission to busk."

Before the show, Sheeran also made a unique cultural gesture by learning the sitar. During his Chennai concert, the singer shared the stage with legendary composer AR Rahman, performing the iconic song "Urvashi." The two musicians met earlier that day, with Sheeran also spending time with Rahman’s son, AR Ameen. Rahman later shared photos of their meeting, with Sheeran taking pictures and even sitting at Rahman’s music console, captioned “Photos by Ed Sheeran.”

Ed Sheeran’s India tour has already seen performances in Hyderabad and Chennai, and his journey continues with upcoming shows in Shillong and Delhi NCR.
