Sarayu’s reaction to an online post has garnered the attention of netizens

Actor Sarayu Mohan has responded in a tongue-in-cheek manner to viral social media posts suggesting that Mohanlal had lost his temper with Baiju during the recent AMMA general body meeting.
The speculation arose after a meme featuring Baiju and Mohanlal, accompanied by dramatic fictional dialogue, circulated widely on social media. The post was presented in a style that mimicked an eyewitness account of the general body meeting. Sarayu, reacting beneath this post, commented dryly, “Ahaa... and then, and then?” — a remark widely interpreted as a sarcastic dismissal of the claim's credibility.
The meme suggested that Baiju had criticised Mohanlal on stage, apparently saying: “You’re just sitting there stroking your beard — why are you talking about stepping down as AMMA president?” According to the post, Mohanlal stood up and replied, “If you’ve come to speak, just do that and leave. I will decide whether to stay or resign.”
However, Baiju has categorically denied the claims. Speaking to the media, he clarified that no argument took place between him and Mohanlal. He explained that his comments during the meeting — where he suggested the current committee shall continue — were taken out of context and misrepresented online.
The recent AMMA general body meeting centred around discussions regarding the future leadership of the association. Although many urged Mohanlal to continue as president, he reportedly reiterated his firm decision not to return to the helm. Consequently, it was decided that a new leadership would be elected.
Baiju further emphasised that the narrative being spun on social media is a distortion of what actually transpired and urged the public not to be misled by fictionalised online content.
