Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has scripted history at the box office by emerging as the highest-grossing Indian film of all time in a single language. Released exclusively in Hindi, the Ranveer Singh-starrer has amassed a staggering Rs 1,240 crore worldwide, according to Jio Studios.
The film continues its phenomenal run even after completing a month in theatres. On January 7, Dhurandhar earned Rs 5.70 crore at the domestic box office, taking its total India net collection to Rs 831.40 crore. Despite fresh releases such as Ikkis and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, the film has maintained its dominance across theatres.
In a landmark achievement, Dhurandhar has also surpassed Pushpa 2: The Rule to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed that the film crossed the lifetime business of the Allu Arjun-starrer in its fifth week.
Calling it a historic moment for Hindi cinema, Taran Adarsh wrote on X,
"This is THE biggest moment in the HISTORY of #Hindi film business. Till not long ago, surpassing the lifetime business of #Pushpa2 #Hindi - the highest-grossing film in the #Hindi market - seemed unthinkable. But records are meant to be challenged... and shattered - and #Dhurandhar has done exactly that. #Dhurandhar has finally overtaken the lifetime business of #Pushpa2 #Hindi, emerging as the highest-grossing #Hindi film of all time on its fifth Tuesday [Day 33],"
Following the milestone, Yash Raj Films issued an official statement applauding the team behind the film for setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema.

Reacting to YRF’s praise, lead actor Ranveer Singh expressed his gratitude and pride, writing,"My beloved Alma Mater. only ever wanted to make you proud!"
Earlier this week, Dhurandhar achieved yet another milestone by becoming the first Hindi film to cross Rs 800 crore in net collections in India.
Since its release, the film has received widespread acclaim from critics, industry insiders, and audiences alike for its scale, performances, and storytelling.
