Bollywood legend Dharmendra has passed away, leaving behind a remarkable legacy spanning decades. He will be seen posthumously in the upcoming film Ikkis, marking his collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on 25 December, 2025.
The makers shared a poster this morning featuring Dharmendra as the father of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, played by Agastya Nanda. The caption reads: “Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations. Dharmendra ji, an emotional powerhouse as the father of a 21-year-old immortal soldier. One timeless legend brings us the story of another.”
On Instagram, the team announced: “On 25th December, bravery marches into cinemas. Witness the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra hero. #IkkisTrailerOutNow #Ikkis in cinemas worldwide this Christmas.”
Produced by Maddock Films under Dinesh Vijan and directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is co-written by Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, and Pooja Ladha Surti. Agastya Nanda, who debuted in 2023 with The Archies, portrays Arun Khetarpal, martyred at 21 during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pak war and posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra.
The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher. Dharmendra’s final performance adds a poignant farewell to one of Bollywood’s most enduring legends.
