Chennai: Actor Dhanush, one of Kollywood’s most celebrated stars, is once again in the spotlight after actress Manya Anand alleged that she received “adjustment” requests linked to one of his films.

In an interview with Cineulagam, Manya Anand, known for her work in popular Tamil television serials, revealed that she was first contacted by a man claiming to be part of Dhanush’s team.

The person asked, “There is a script—are you ready to act?” Manya immediately clarified her boundaries, stating, “I have a few restrictions. I won’t do over-glamorous, exposing, or romantic roles. I want a decent character.”

Despite her clear response, she alleged that the caller persisted, reportedly asking, “Even if it’s a Dhanush sir’s film?” Manya said she refused without compromise.

She added that a few days later, another person, again claiming to be a member from Dhanush’s team, reached out with a similar offer, claiming to have sent her a script, which she never opened. She added, "I didn't read it because I am not gonna do that."

Manya stressed how several other actresses also face such suspicious approaches, often unsure whether these are genuine managers or fraudsters.
