Chennai: Australian cricketer David Warner has ventured into acting with a cameo role in the upcoming Telugu action film Robinhood. The film, directed by Venky Kudumula, stars actor Nithiin in the lead role. The news was revealed by one of the film's producers, Y Ravi Shankar, during a promotional event for another film, Kingston.

Y Ravi Shankar shared the exciting news during a promotional event for Kingston, which features actor-composer G V Prakash. When asked for updates on Robinhood, the producer revealed that David Warner had made a special appearance in the film, much to the delight of fans and movie enthusiasts. He expressed his happiness about introducing Warner to Indian cinema with Robinhood, before apologising to director Venky Kudumula for disclosing the information without prior consent.

In Robinhood, Nithiin plays the role of a thief named Honey Singh, who steals from the rich to give to the poor. His character is fearless, courageous, and has no hidden agendas, making him a man of action who is willing to take on anyone for the right cause.

Originally scheduled to release last year, the film's release has been postponed to March 28 this year. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, Robinhood also stars Sree Leela in a prominent role, with a soundtrack by National Award-winning music director G V Prakash Kumar.

Directed by Venky Kudumula, Robinhood features cinematography by Sai Sriram, art direction by Raam Kumar, and editing by Koti. The film’s production team also includes Cherry as CEO and Hari Tummala as Executive Producer.
