Singer and social activist Chinmayi Sripada on Wednesday took to social media to strongly call out a misogynistic comment made by an X user. The comment, which came in response to a post by Blinkit CEO about the high number of condom deliveries on New Year’s Eve, sparked outrage across the platform.

The incident began when Blinkit, a quick-commerce service, revealed that 1.2 lakh packets of condoms were ordered and delivered across India on the night of December 31, 2024.

A social media user named Venom, reacting to the post, made a deeply derogatory remark saying, "Good luck finding a virgin girl to marry in this generation." His comment was immediately met with criticism.

Chinmayi, known for her strong stance on women’s rights and gender equality, did not hold back in her response. On her Instagram Stories, she sarcastically suggested that men with such views should refrain from engaging in premarital sex.

"Men have sex with women. Then men complain they want virgins," she wrote, adding, "Men need to stop having premarital sex with women. Ask your bros and male friends to NEVER have sex till marriage—unless they were buying condoms to have sex with goats, dogs and reptiles."
