Team members took to social media to share their festive greetings, with some of the stars also celebrating together at a party. Among those present were the Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli, his wife and actress Anushka Sharma, and fellow IPL player Devdutt Padikkal. The group was joined by other members, including Prasidh Krishna, in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

The celebration comes on the back of India’s defeat in the Boxing Day Test against Australia, which saw the home side take a 2-1 lead in the series. Despite their star power, both Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma have come under scrutiny for their recent performances, with concerns lingering about their form. Neither player has been able to deliver standout performances in the ongoing series, adding to the pressure on the Indian team.
